We are Steve and Claudia Crook, the authors of a book to be available soon on the most significant lessons that we and countless others have struggled most with in life.
From having taught the principals we write about in our book to people of all ages and walks of life for several years now, our mission with this Life Lessons Coaching website is to provide a broader scope of opportunity for teaching these concepts.
To tell you a little about ourselves ……
After graduating with a B.A. degree and doing student teaching I chose to go to work for a Caterpillar dealership. Over a 20 year period I held positions of Training Instructor, Shop Foreman, Service Manager, Director of Parts & Service and eventually General Manager. Following that I’ve owned my own tractor rental business for the last 25 years. I’ve managed hundreds of employees. The most predominant problems throughout all those years were always people problems. By attacking these problems through the help of industrial psychologists, books and trial and error, successful teams were put together in a way that complimented individual strengths instead of mirroring one another. By teaching the manager’s the concepts in our book the results were eventually very successful in each of the areas I managed as well as in my own company.
Claudia also has an extensive business background. Prior to establishing her own company, SPARE ME THE DETAILS – Business Services, she held executive positions in marketing administration and accounting for a very successful manufacturing firm for over 25 years.
After living in various locales in California, Oregon and Hawaii we chose to settle in the country in Bella Vista, California. When we aren’t tending to the upkeep of our gardens and spending time with our blended family of three great adult kids and six wonderful grandchildren, I enjoy runnin’ wild rivers and fishing and Claudia loves to play tennis and create beauty any way she can.
